All popular music will eventually be classic, and even though a lot of kids aren't interested in classic music, some will be. The parents of those children will be thankful that they can relate to their kids...But if I have a kid someday and s/he tries to bond with me over a classic rock band named Nickelback, I will forgo that bonding experience. If anything I won't look at the kid for a week, because I will feel awkward.
